Heat load calculation

With the new changes in the heat load calculation we respond to the extended possibilities of the building model and consider a practical aspect of the building's use.

Consideration of apartments

The temperatures of adjacent rooms are calculated in accordance with the EN 12831 using a specific formula, in case the rooms belong to different building units (e.g. in case of apartment buildings). DDS-CAD takes this automatically into consideration when you assign the rooms to the respective zones.

Include reduced room temperature

By default, the heat load calculation applies the standardized indoor temperatures as defined in the EN 12831. In practice it is common that a lower temperature applies to single rooms ( e.g. bedroomCollapsed). This leads to a greater loss of temperature of the adjacent rooms.

To consider these type of situations, you can assign a value for the limited temperature of the room.

The decisive factor in this case: the limited temperature of a room results in a higher transmission heat load of the adjacent rooms. However, for the room at hand nothing changes.
