Intelligent cabling, enhanced calculations, more information
Connected components automatically pass on loads to distribution board
DDS-CAD 10 sets new standards in improving the design of electrical systems. An electrical consumer now also gives its load and power requirements automatically to the distribution board. The power and load stored in the object is retrieved automatically by a cable connection. With these values DDS-CAD calculates the operating current of the circuit and adds it to the total load of the distribution board.
Real-time load calculation
In the main distributor any loads are taken into consideration automatically and in real-time. It is irrelevant whether the load comes directly from a electrical end component or from supplies of sub distributors. The manual retrieval and calculation is no longer necessary in DDS-CAD 10.
Advanced volt drop calculation
The improved volt drop calculation takes into account the complete cable path from main distributor via sub distributors up to the last connected end components. In this context, the part text has been expanded to include additional information fields. The values you can display on the connected objects:
- Voltage drop at object in volts (V)
- Voltage drop up to end object in %
- Cable length from the object up to distribution board
- Load of the object in Ampere (A)
The formatting of part text can now also be easily copied and transferred to other objects through a new function.
