Service Update 2

We describe the improvements and corrections in the current service update.

New, improved, extended

 

General

After installing the service update the OpenGL in 2D mode is automatically active, to take advantage of various benefits:

  • Faster graphics build-up, smoother work when moving the image (zoom, pan)
  • Hiding of overlapping objects by arrangement in space. (When OpenGL is inactive, overlapping objects are hidden according to the order of their insertion into the model.)
  • Transparency effects also possible in 2D

In case of difficulties due to the active OpenGL:

  • Disable OpenGL in the menu 'View'.
  • Contact DDS-Support.

Stabilisations through sent error reports and participation in CIP Crash in print layout when Model name as text is activated for the layout template of a section. Fixed
Crash when setting the working directory in the root directory of the C drive. Fixed
Plot layout The 'Part Text' option is missing from the 'View'. Part texts cannot be deactivated. Option 'Part Text' inserted in menu 'View' Part texts can also be disabled in the print layout.
By mistake, the import of image files also seems to be possible via the import of a DWG file. However, the operation does not lead to success. File types removed from filter to eliminate error.
The preview of a representation to be inserted shows a distribution board, but it is not included in the model. Fixed
Active dialogs switch to the background during certain action chains. Fixed
A layer – deactivated in the layout template of a section – becomes visible again in the print layout. Fixed
Sheets with integrated title block show data of a wrong storey. Title blocks of these sheets always show the data of the current storey.
Error due to decimal comma in function 'Insert representation', Scaling:. Decimal places are deleted. Fixed; Comma acts like decimal point
OpenGL View=active When printing to PDF, a black square appears in the lower left corner of the resulting file. Fixed

Invisible texts in objects of the following functions

  • 'Schema symbol' for heating, sanitary, ventilation

  • 'Text Symbol (Colored Background)'

  • 'Sheet', product 'Fire detection plan tab sensor group (…)"

Product Database The user product database is locked during certain operations in a multi-user environment. Fixed
Projekteigenschaften Location coordinates of the project appear in wrong notation, e.g.: 6e+01°5e+01'50.4" Notation corrected: 60°51'50.4"

 

IFC and BIM

Export Various objects of the function 'Fire and Security' are missing in the export result. Fixed
Objects of function 'Building Automation (KNX)' are missing in the export result if the article was newly created in the 'User defined' filter. Fixed
A link to an external document (manually specified and saved in the product dataset) will not be transferred to the export result. Fixed
An individually created export filter IfcExportFilters.xml does not work thoroughly. Filtered objects appear in the export result as IfcBuildingElementProxy=UNDEFINED. Fixed

 

Building, floor plan and labeling

Electrical

Cable Management Systems

Objects change their height in an undesirable way when the following conditions coincide:

  • active length unit is not 'meter
  • several objects are selected and are being edited

The start of cable tray or cable trunking is only possible if the articles of the last system used match the system intended as the starting point. Fixed
Ladder The sliding of a cable tray interrupts connections to connected cable trays and cables. Fixed
Cable Trunking Accessory The subsequent movement of an object 'Cable Trunking Accessory' causes a dimensional change of the connected cable trunking under certain conditions. Fixed
Objects Motion sensor A manual change to the detection area does not appear in 3D presentations. Fixed
Lamps (various) Incorrect representation of symbols 567 and 568 (emergency / warning / safety lights) when Solid fill: is activated. Symbols corrected
Distribution Board Changing the mounting height via the object dialog in  Distance to top: does not work. Fixed
Cable A cable with individually selected layer changes back to the setting Default layer, if another article is assigned to the cable. Fixed; Cable retains the individual setting
Legend When calling for editing, an error message appears if the legend contains an empty conduit. Fixed
Predefined Legend The template of the legend 'High power installation' contains wrong symbols. Fixed
Reports 'Component list' The reports contain overlapping text and unwanted line breaks. Fixed
'Electrical circuit load'
The German term "Summe" appears instead of "Total". Fixed
Product Database Esylux  In objects for ceiling mounting, the detection range is missing. Fixed
The 2D symbol is missing for objects for wall mounting. Fixed

 

Ventilation
