When working with dynamic symbols a in the model inserted symbol applies as the active reference symbol. Two different scenarios are possible.
Ongoing work with a symbol
Suppose you have an object selected and it is attached to the mouse cursor. The symbol should be repeatedly and sequentially be inserted into the model. The desired distance from one object to another is known. In this case, each last fixed symbol counts as a reference.
Position the copy template of an object
Suppose you want to copy an object and paste it in a certain distance from its copy template again. In this case, the position of the copy template is the reference.
