Workflow

1. Move the pipe to the object. The object is highlighted. DDScad reacts according to the cursor position.

   2. Click . The pipe ends at the connection point. The function remains active. You can set the next starting point.

   2. Move the pipe back. Clicking defines a fixed point at a location where a bend is to begin a change in height.
   3. Click on the connection point. The dialog appears: Connect pipes

   4. Check the settings.

      Direct connection / Horizontal - Vertical / …

      Options for designing the connection. DDScad offers available options depending on the situation.

      Horizontal - Vertical

      Horizontal bend to the connection point and vertical connection.

      

      Vertical - Horizontal

      Vertical height change in the course of the incoming pipe and horizontal connection.

      

      Horizontal - Vertical - distance in

      Horizontal bend in the direction of the connection point, vertical height change in the set distance from the connection point and horizontal connection.

      

      Horizontal - Vertical - distance back

      Horizontal bend in the direction of the connection point, vertical height change in the set distance behind the connection point and horizontal connection on the back side.

      

      90° Horizontal - (Vertical) - distance in

      Horizontal bend in the set distance from the connection point, vertical height change. Horizontal connection, parallel to the incoming pipe.

      

      Diagonal - Horizontal

      Height change with a slope of 45° and horizontal connection.

      

      Distance

      Setting between the point of the height change and the connection point for the options:

      • Horizontal - Vertical - distance in
      • Horizontal - Vertical - distance back
      • 90° Horizontal - (Vertical) - distance in
      15° / 30° / 45° / 60° / 90°

      Standard angle for the bend for the height change. The position of the bend is calculated and can be edited afterwards.

      Free

      The angle of the bend for the heigh change is calculated and is set according to the last fixed point. The first bend is located at the last fixed point, the second at the connection point. You can edit the position of the bends afterwards.

   5. Click OK. The connection is established. The function remains active. You can set the next starting point.
