Prevent collision

Example

You can use the automatic monitoring function if you need to ensure that there are no collisions. When the cursors approaches an obstacle at the same height, DDScad recognizes the collision with:

  • Pipe
  • Duct
  • Cable Ladder
  • Cable Trunking
  • Draw Dynamic Conduit
  • Objects of an imported IFC model

If you design other disciplines next to Ventilation with DDScad, you can also ghost the other models.

Workflow

  1. Move the duct to the position of the possible collision. At a touch, the existing object is highlighted. A menu lists the available options.

  2. Select by clicking :

    You can configure how to overcome the obstacle. The dialog appears for this purpose: Avoid clashes

    1. Check the settings.

      Setting Effect

    2. Click OK. You can continue with the next step.

    The obstacle is crossed with the current settings of the dialog Avoid clashes.

    The obstacle is undercut with the current settings of the dialog Avoid clashes.
