Example

Suppose you hit an obstacle and want to change the height in the route. The angle for the height change is unknown or unimportant.

Workflow

  1. Move the duct to the start position of the height change.
  2. Define a fix point by clicking .
  3. move the duct forward to the end position of the height change. Do not click the left mouse button!
  4. Press

    For an upward movement [Shift]+[Home]
    [Shift]+[PgUp]
    For a downward movement [Shift]+[End]
    [Shift]+[PgDn]

    The dialog appears: Give position in flow segment

  5. Define the height

    Delta up: / Delta down:

    Height change as a difference to the actual height.

    Insert the value without prefix.

    Absolute Z-pos.

    Defining the new height, starting from FFL.

    DDScad automatically calculates the required angle. The value in Angle (draw dir.) changes with the input.

  6. Click OK. The ventilation duct runs horizontally again. You can draw the course.
