You can connect the ventilation duct to the open end of an existing ventilation duct. DDScad responds to a possible difference in height. |
Required conditions
Workflow

Move the duct to the desired connection point. The existing ventilation duct is highlighted. DDScad detects whether a height difference exists.

Without height change:
The connection is established. The function remains active. You can set the next starting point.
With height change:
The dialog appears: Connect ducts

Direct connection
Direct connection from the last fix point + to the connection point (oblique height change).
Horizontal - Vertical
Horizontal bend to the connection point and vertical connection.
Vertical - Horizontal
Vertical height change in the course of the incoming ventilation duct and horizontal connection.
Horizontal - Vertical - distance in
Horizontal bend in the direction of the connection point, vertical height change in the set distance from the connection point and horizontal connection.
90° Horizontal - (Vertical) - distance in
Horizontal bend in the set distance from the connection point, vertical height change. Horizontal connection, parallel to the incoming ventilation duct.
Distance
Setting between the point of the height change and the connection point for the options:
- Horizontal - Vertical - distance in
- Horizontal - Vertical - distance back
- 90° Horizontal - (Vertical) - distance in
15° / 30° / 45° / 60° / 90°
Standard angle for the bend for the height change. The position of the bend is calculated and can be edited afterwards.
Free
The angle of the bend for the heigh change is calculated and is set according to the last fixed point. The first bend is located at the last fixed point, the second at the connection point. You can edit the position of the bends afterwards.
- Click OK. The connection is established. The function remains active. You can set the next starting point.
