Object handling – Insert relative to last position

In this method the actual position of the cursor does not matter for the result. Starting point of the operation is always the current reference symbol.

Distance vertical/horizontal

The operation places the symbol with a defined X or Y distance to the reference symbol. The cursor position does not affect the result.

Application via keyboard keys:  []/[]/[]/[] Press []/[]/[]/[]. The dialog appears: Relative from Position Insert the value without prefix.You can use different unit of lengths.Depending on the input, a help line appears at the position. Any other changes will be immediately visible so that you can correct entries. Click OK.The symbol is fixed at the position. Application via the context menu Click . The context menu appears. Select:From Last Position   Right (X) Left (X) Up (Y) Down (Y). The dialog appears: Relative from Position Insert the value without prefix.You can use different unit of lengths.Depending on the input, a help line appears at the position. Distance as X/Y/Z Coordinates

The operation places the symbol with a defined X and Y distance from the reference symbol. The cursor position does not affect the result.

The operation places the symbol with a defined distance from the reference symbol in the direction expressed by the angle. The cursor position does not affect the result.

You can use different unit of lengths.  Rotation around the Z axis The direction of the positional shift as an angle between 0 and 360°. You can enter a positive or negative value. The prefix determines the direction. Click OK.The symbol is fixed at the position. Application via the context menu Click . The context menu appears. Select:From Last Position  Distance and Angle. Distance as Radius

The operation supports, for example, the insertion of a symbol at a slanted wall when at the same time a defined distance is required from the reference symbol.

The distance is visualized as a circle, whose radius needs to be defined. The circle creates the snap points to other lines in the model, which will make the placement more easy.

Application via keyboard keys:   [G] Press  [G]. A dialog for entering the radius appears. Insert the value.You can use different unit of lengths. Click OK.A circle with the inserted radius appears around the reference symbol. It creates an intersection point with the wall line. Click on the intersection point.The symbol is fixed at the position. Application via the context menu Click . The context menu appears. Select:From Last Position  Distance as Radius. A dialog for entering the radius appears. Insert the value.You can use different unit of lengths. Click OK.A circle with the inserted radius appears around the reference symbol.
