Clicking places the object at the current cursor position.

Fix on line

The operation fixes the object exactly on a line. You can specify whether the object maintains its rotation or whether it should align to the line.

Application Activate or deactivate Use Automatic Rotation Press and hold [Ctrl]. Move the symbol to a line. The line is highlighted in orange. If you have activated Use Automatic Rotation, the object will align to the line. You can move the symbol along the line. Click . The symbol is fixed. You can perform the next operation. Animation

Fix in distance to the line

The operation fixes the object at a defined distance to the line.

Define distance: [D] Press [D]. The dialog appears: Distance from Line Insert the value. You can use different unit of lengths. Click OK. Fix object in set distance Activate or deactivate Use Automatic Rotation Press and hold [Ctrl]. Move the symbol to a line. The line is highlighted in orange. If you have activated Use Automatic Rotation, the object will align to the line. You can move the symbol along the line. Press [Ctrl]+[D]. The symbol is fixed. You can perform the next operation.
