Purpose of the operation

Saves all selected objects to the Windows clipboard and expects the definition of a reference point for re-installation.

With Paste Copied, the copies of these objects appear together as a dynamic symbol on the cursor. The reference is the selected point.

Workflow

  1. Select the desired parts of the pipe system.

    Important!

    Make sure that the desired pipes are completely selected from its start up to its end point. Closed Operations

    Starting from any segment, you can select the pipe system over its entire course between the start and end point. Sub branches will not be included.

    1. Select a segment by clicking .
    2. Click . The context menu appears.
    3. Select: Expand Selection to Complete Flow Path Section
      The pipe system is selected over its entire course between the start and end point. You can perform the operation for processing.

    Starting from a selected segment, you can select the further course of the pipe system including its sub branches.

    1. Select the first segment by clicking .
    2. Click . The context menu appears.
    3. Select: Expand Selection to All Sub Branches That Follow
      From the selected segment, the further course of the pipe system is selected including sub branches. You can perform the operation for processing.

    Note

    The function requires that you know the direction of the pipe system. With the option Drawing direction (Arrows) you can choose to turn on or off the direction indicator. ClosedMore

    Using your mouse, you can select individual of multiple objects for editing. If you have selected objects unintentionally, you can deselect them.

    Note

    You can combine these operations together. To do so, press and hold [Ctrl].

    Select Objects

    1. Click and hold .
    2. Move the mouse to the bottom right. The cursor creates a rectangle (red dashed line).
    3. Release the mouse button. All touched objects are selected.

    1. Click and hold .
    2. Move your mouse to the top right. The cursor creates a rectangle (red solid line).
    3. Release the mouse button. All objects completely within are selected.

    Deselect

    1. Press and hold [Ctrl].
    2. Click on a selected object. The selection is cancelled.

    2. Move the mouse to the bottom left. The cursor creates a rectangle (green dashed line).
    3. Release the mouse button. All objects inside or touched by the selection window are deselected.

  2. Copy the selected object.

    [Shift]+[Ctrl]+[C]
    Copy Object(s) by Free Reference Point

    The selected objects are saved to the Windows clipboard. The information line shows:Choose Reference Point for Copy/Move

  3. Click at the point to which the cursor should move the objects.

  4. Insert the copied objects.

    [Ctrl] +[V]
    Paste Copied

    The cursor moves the objects as a dynamic symbol. The reference point is the selected position.

  5. Place the objects by clicking or another symbol function.
