Cable, trunk and cable trunking

The cable trunk was subject to various restrictions in version 7.3. Its flexibility was limited and only a help for the final drawing of electrical cables. With version 8, the situation changes radically. Trunking and cables have been converted to the basic functionality of polylines and have much more flexibility and intelligence. This change in structure will greatly accelerate and simplify the design of electrical installations. The trunk supports the search for the optimal route and thus becomes a real planning tool.

With the new start, connect and edit functions for cables and trunking, you can plan and optimize the route quickly and flexibly. Mixed structures can be defined in which the cable will automatically look for the shortest way from its electrical component through the trunk to the distributor. In the example a building structure is used with several sub distributors (UV) and a single main distributor (HV). In each room several electrical components have been inserted that are connected with to the sub-distributors. The example starts with the design of the cable trunk system.
