Cable, trunk and cable trunking

The cable trunk was subject to various restrictions in version 7.3. Its flexibility was limited and only a help for the final drawing of electrical cables. With version 8, the situation changes radically. Trunking and cables have been converted to the basic functionality of polylines and have much more flexibility and intelligence. This change in structure will greatly accelerate and simplify the design of electrical installations. The trunk supports the search for the optimal route and thus becomes a real planning tool.

Attention:
All connection functions require Smart snap.

In version 7.3 cables and trunks could not be started at a free point and could not be connection to an existing trunk. Thus the drawing direction was forced. Subsequently, this also made the processing (and modifications) of electrical installations difficult.

In version 8 this restriction is omitted. You can now start and connect cables and trunking from distributors, components and at free start and stop points. The table shows all available start and end functions in an overview

In addition, the old function start trunk / cable has been replaced. In version 8, you can now select a cable and by clicking and with the function Continue Cable from the context menu start drawing it again.

Tip:
With the new options you can freely define the installation zones in the building and develop mesh structures (see example).
