By default, DDS-CAD manages all projects in a common root directory.You can add additional locations and structure your project folder.

Create and manage projects

The project is the basic unit in working with DDS-CAD. It can include a building with up to 100 storeys and the technical equipment of various disciplines. All data for the project are in the same project folder that is created and managed by the project manager.

Import data from project

Working on a project is always limited to the current project folder. Nevertheless, it may happen that you want to copy parts of an older project into the current project to accelerate your work.

Backup and archiving

DDS-CAD has an automatic backup function.An automatic backup routine saves the opened data in a subdirectory of the project folder every five minutes.A configurable backup and archiving function operates on the principles of a versioning tool.
