Polysun Inside 5.9
With DDS-CAD 8 you receive an update of the calculation module Polysun Inside
to version 5.9. You have the following options:
- New calculation report (international, German/English)
- Horizon line and path of the sun
- Take into account own consumption
- Number of modules editable
- Connection variants of inverters can be copied
- Reactive power (
) as a criteria for inverter selection
- Main voltage (U) as criteria for inverter selection
With the new version of Polysun Inside you can consider the lack of sunlight because of distant objects in the yield calculation (more …) Polysun Inside compares the course of the sun with the horizon line of the selected geographical position. You can simulate the sun's path throughout the year and the sun's position during the day. The situation is visualized in a sun chart on the screen and on the printout of the calculation results.
Attention:
The shadow cast by neighbouring objects is not taken into account by this function.
Instruction
- Start Polysun Inside. The dialog appears.
- Click Horizon line and sun path (1). The dialog "Horizon line" appears. The table on the left side (2) is still empty at this time, the sun path chart (3) lacks the horizon line.

Import horizon line from the internet:
A requirement is the selection of the correct location in the Building Information dialog and a connection to the internet.
Click From Meteonorm server (4). The table(2) is filled and the sun path chart (3) shows the horizon line. - Import horizon line from measurement tool (e.g. SunEye):
Required is that the measured horizon line is available in one of the following formats: *.TXT, *.CSV or *.XML.
Click Import from file (5). The dialog "Import horizon file" appears and you can select a file. The table (2) is filled and the sun path chart (3) shows the horizon line. - With the controls (6), you can simulate the sun's path throughout the year and the sun's position during the day.
